ok its a hard one not being able to see it
but what do you think
buggy in ok condition has had rego before
runs well etc would need $2000 spent to get on the road
is it worth $1000 or $2000 OR $3000 or $4000 etc
please help
just guess
Too many variables....what kind of buggy for a start!!! If it's an ugly buggy it's worth less than a good lookin' one!! Must need lots of work if you need to spend $2000 to get it on the road......
Does it have pedigree?? Engineers papers?? Short wheel base??
An easily registered (as in eng papers and a definite proof of history) short wheel base buggy of any kind would have to be worth a 2 or 3 grand ??
yes definite proof of history swb
3K + if has proff of previous rego and is a genuine manx.
or around 2k for a copy
well do i have news
1...buggy yes
2... good cond no
3... had rego before yes ..BUT AS SEDAN
4 ..asked seller has it been regoed as buggy and he says yes
Which state are in? I would want to see some paperwork, Modification paper or rego papers as a buggy.
ITS a piece of shit if it was on fire I would let it burn
where u at nsw if papers say sedan mods=buggy or similar the papers could be worth $1000 get some pics some one here someone might like it.. remember
fibreglass doesnt rust cant be to bad
If it was regoed as a sedan, i would be worried.
swb buggy doesn't equal sedan :P, u might be buyin urself some trouble i'd say.
Without the paperwork, its only good as a back yard bush basher mate. won't get through rwc without spending a FORTUNE!
You will have to make the entire car, including body, chassis and engine, comply to todays standards... which means pain. Cause it will be an ICV. The
bug engine alone, will have to be replaced with an engine that follows todays emission and sound requirements, means radiator fitting, ecu wiring,
fuel line plumbing for fuel injection...
and thats just the engine department!

BUT.... If there is no previous rego history (QLD only keep records for 7 years) then,as Chris said, you have buckleys chance of getting it
regoed...
I didn't have to go over the weigh bridge to get mine regoed so the weight isn't relevant....in my case anyway. Sometimes you just can't beat
having the correct paperwork....
With rego history, just about floorpan and paperwork seems to be worth 3 to 5K.
Went searching when I started mine, and this was the cheapest I could find. Anything cheaper was either not really registered or done illegitimately.
found quite a few that had rego- but when I searched they we're dodgy - weights, numbers, body styles etc didn't match.
Just got mine engineered and regoed- count on at least a couple of grand extra just for this, plus the car has to be built to a much higher standard
to pass- so more dollars again.
