hey y'all.
just wondering what you have to do to transfer rego from VIC - NSW and roughly how much??
cheers
Aaron.
Basically an admin fee of prob $20 and then your stamp duty. Any VIC rego left over gets a refund but not sure if that goes into your pocket or the previous owner has to claim that.
goes in previous owners pocket.
I think you will find you need a full 'blue slip' inspection with an interstate registered car; it is considered 'unreg' in NSW so needs identity and condition verification, plus greenslip, rego, admin and stamp duty payments
the NSW cost depends on how much u tell them u purchased the car for
SO tell them it was cheap and get a receipt for the same from the vendor
u will probally have to get a blue slip as well
I have been through this
Mine was ACT to NSW
You deregisiter the car with with Vic and register with NSW
The left over registration went into my pocket. I had to speak with them.
You need proof of 2 years worth of registration and a blue slip
If you cant do a 2 years you are "suppose" to gt a VIUU (or VUII??) ispection to prove what the vehicle is
I can dig all the bits out if you like
hey whos the person with HAIR in yr pic Barry ????
Our next PM
IGUANAGATE
is that that stupid federal bitch up at gosford ???
so as long as the car has a blue slip, abnd has been rog'd for over 2 years it'd be easy?

i need to go thro this bullshit to
cos im so close to the border a good 20% of the cars around here are in QLD rego including mine so i dont stand out much but the cops give me shit
everytime i get bagged for driving a qld regod car on NSW license
so yea u basically have to start from scratch as barry has already said
cancel existing rego, bluey, green and register
