Adjustable rear end - any good?
Mick058 - July 15th, 2008 at 01:11 PM

i have a 58 shell on a 68 pan and was curious about aftermarket bits for an adjustable rear end.

Is anyone running this? Pro's, con's cost etc. Pics would be cool if you have them.

Cheers.

I haven't been able to break mine yet....but mine is a welded section in the torsion housing, not adjustable spring plates...I'll hunt for some pictures.

Mick WHY do u want to adjust it

SET AND 4 GET just another thing to GO wrong

Which Mick??? My reason was simple....it was "new" and needed to be tried and on the highway it is much more stable running the rear end lower...especially when you need to drive 200 plus KM to go anywhere....also keeps the CV's happy

I've been told its the ONLY way to get the rear end sitting EXACTLY where you wanted it....

moving the splines sounded OK to me....
