Am about to set sail on the endeavour rally, officially leaving Toowoomba tomorrow, but all the preliminary stuff this arvo.

9 days of bashing/ travelling (and this was the short one, the longer one started a week ago) I havent done one before and neither has any of the crew, so it will be something different.

Will be travelling through outback NSW, Broken Hill etc and finishing at Baradine (or something like that) I will be driving a yellow HQ Holden S/Wagon with some flashy graphics (Car 15) so if the rally comes near you, pop up and say hi.

Well

Just been talking to Pete over the last few days and seen him off in Toowomba. Car looked really trick and was going well. Herd late last Night all was not well. In true endeavour spirit Pete and crew will be battling on.

The car has suffered a terminal engine problem in Cunumulla and they have managed to find a runinng 186 in an old bedford van to fit the motor into there car. At ten oclock this morning they had the motor removed from the van and were working on installing it into the car as I spoke to him. Pete istill seems to be in high spirits and has really taken to the endeavour rally well.

As i hear more i will let every one know. My first year I've missed in six and have had similar experiences with these problems..

Unfortuneatly before the motor blew the guys were sittingin tenth position and were only minutes out from the leaders with chance of being utrighjt position contenters..
