I thought I'd start this thread so that people can list some road warnings for the trip to Valla. I drove up north yesterday and noticed something on
the F3 that would send a few shakes through some cars, so I thought we could start a list of things to look out for.
o Just near the end of the F3 widening at Berowra in the 80 zone, just before it goes back to the 110 zone there is a 3 inch asphalt lip that will
give a harsh bang to anyone with a hard, lowered ride.
Keep 'em coming...
Dont forget to fill the esky with beer before you leave, there are a few bottle shops along the way for a top up, keep an eye out for the XXXX
signs
XXXX.....bloody QLDers
XXXX ??? I thought that part of the conversation was about beer !?!?
allow time for the 40KMs of 80km/h zone either side of Moorelands
..........road rough just north of Port Macquarie turn off and plenty of whallopers from there to the finish line
big speed hump in Valla Park it self (although i think it is well lit nowa days)
went to nambucca 1 yr with a few mates in a country buggy full of beer, best trip ever

, they caused trouble in Nambucca then
went home Friday night to Valla (as we do)............for the next two days, the coppers hammered them, D.U.I....modified defects.....too low, rego
checks, the works
........they sat on the road out of Valla and
the one into Nambucca and did them for all they were worth..........they deserved it too!oh, and i'll give you a fresh update on the trip to Brisvegas and back this time tomorrow
road down from Brissy is for the most part tops!.......
few holes and those strange potholes that don't bust but the tar gets pushed into little "highs" around them (sump wreckers)...........
i guess the majority of you are raised suspensions, but the lowies want to keep an eye out south of Ballina- 70km south when the big square patches
start arriving, there are some big holes in the left wheel track, but only a couple.....
most the entries onto the bridges seem before Grafton are a bit dickie.......
and a dirty big pothole right as you slow down for the 50 zone at Woodburn.......
apart from that, all good........
about 4 and 1/2 hours traveling + stops....too easy
Thanks for the road update Daimo - cheers for taking the time to report back for us qld folk!

Luckily ??
Road conditions can change weekly [daily]
hopefully for the better..
Many highways have new bits of bitupave that are raised 2-3 inches above the normal road surface
which gives the lowered front end a good thump...
I'll try & miss em...
Lee
Thanks everyone.
You getting yours registered for the weekend are you Matt..... nice drive down for the new engine
Apparently, word has it that there will be a lot of old, slow Kombis on the roads around that time.
I suggest caution when approaching these mobile chicanes, as the drivers usually have their hands off the wheel waving to each other.

Watch out for the red dunnydore with the female highway patrol officer around coffs
I drove to Kempsey and back to Newcastle last Friday afternoon. 3 hours both ways on the nose sticking the speed limit the whole way.
The trip isn't that bad but the boys were out aiming the radar guns about.
Worst part of the trip was the truckies. If you get hasselled by any take down the contact numbers most have on the side and make a complaint to the
company. I did and they got rid of one driver who thought sitting 2 metres off the rear end was fine and dandy.
Drive safe.
When ya going over the bridge near grafton look out for grannies lying face down in the river...don't dive in its bloody high
