Just heard from one of my reliable worldwide contacts, a certain VW enthusiast from Oz is stitching together a pretend 55 Ghia coupe salvaged from
various sources and was about to possibly sell it..just beware if some scumbag tries to rip you off passing it off as an original 55 (all 55's and
56's are accounted for worldwide BTW). If it's declared as a replica or copy then I guess it's okay..price would reflect this of course.
Cheers,

as long as its done right, who cares.........you will find nearly every kg has had some sort of accident damage or panel replacement done at some stage of its life, welding on earlier panels is no different really.
Not the point at all, I don't care either as long as the potential or future buyer is informed it is not an original 55. It makes a difference when
one is dishonest about selling something that it actually isn't. It's like some of those scumbags on TheSamba passing-off NOS items when they are
repros...I guess that's alright with you too,no different?
On NCIS tonight I they were in a junk yard
and there were Karmann ghias stacked on top of each other...??
unreal over there....

mmmm..............?
so are these early lowlight ghia sections the same ones you advertised for sale??
Nope, would have blown 'his' cover...
