Help! I'm trying to insure my bug but the silly insurance people don't recognise it on their system - they claim it's an unofficial import or has been modified. It's a stock 1962 1500 and they reckon that only 1200's were around in 1962. My internet research shows that 1962 was the first year for 1500's in Australia (Is this true?) but that counts for nothing as they won't insure me.

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced insurer that will insure this car??
