VW Lovers, this is the place for parts. I was going to the US for a business meeting so decided to arrive one day early in LA to go to Pomona. It
started at 5am. It was still dark, people were walking around with torchs. There was a 3 klms long queue already @ 5am to get in. I was there from 5
till 11am and only go to see the VW & Porsche rows which is about 10% of the whole thing. This is HUGE swap meet. Didn't buy anything VW but
bought a few missing parts for my 356. Chech the photos. If you ever has the chance to attend, you should.
The red kombi was for sale @ US$3k. It was sold by the end of the day.
Did anyone want some Kombi parts?
Or Karmann Ghia parts?
Those large 5 fuchs were for US$200 including good tyres. I was so tempted to buy them if I could get them back to Oz
Lovely Ghia with cup wheels
What kind of an idiot does this to a KG cab? Square headlights, round tail lights. And have a look at how they put the fron indicators sideways
pointing out!!!!!!!
Now thats more like a KG. This was for sale US$15k. More expensive than the 911 next to it which was immaculate
Nice rat bus. looked better than the Viper behind it
No this is not a beetle trying to relief itself on a tree. Its suspension madness. One wheel was totally off the ground.
And its twin
Here are the controls inside
And the engine room for the suspension
For the kombi mads
This tatty Cab was for sale @ US$5.5k
Weird creature
Same one from the back
The combined width of the guards on this oval was more than the car width itself

Geez Raf, if I knew you were going to Pomona I would have asked you to keep a lookout for a bonnet handle for my 356A!
Looks like you had a good time!
Steve

Steve, I only knew a day early otherwise I would've told the Forum. Would've been happy to carry anything light for anyone. There were a
couple of bonnet handles going for US$30 (no crest)
There were a few T3 but not many. Couple of stands had T3 parts. T3 pop-outs were US$10
