Hey Guys,
I'm very excited to announce that while on holidays over in Perth to visit my family, Bob (kombibob) proposed to me while at Kings Park over looking the lights of the city at night. We couldn't be happier right now. It has been a great year with buying our house in the mountains, myself getting an awesome new job and now our engagement. And to think, we have Volkswagens to thank for it!

If I can offer some advice, there is a pre-marriage course you can do called "prepare". It's a great way to get to know what you both expect of eachother and the sorts of values you have brought from your families. Thank you so much everyone, still smiling and getting used to wearing a ring on that finger. I'm superstitious when it comes to the whole you mustn't put a ring on that finger as it will give you bad luck thing, unless it's an engagement/wedding ring. I have to take it off for work and i hate it so much, i keep thinking i've lost it!

It's definitely a VW romance, and you could say we met here on AVD too. We met 2 years ago when i flew over from Perth for the Valla Spectacular in NSW. The Saturday night is the biggest party night where everyone gets together, and there was an AVD get together at the Pub. Bob and i got to talking over MANY a drink and dance, and we kept in contact after i flew home. Many a dollar was spent flying back and forth, and eventually something had to give as we couldn't take the long distance thing anymore. I packed my bags and said good-bye to my family and friends and came over here to be with Bob. Scary when it's the first time i'd moved out and was moving to another state where i didn't really know anyone. It was all so worth it. Like any couple we have had our ups and downs, but it's only made us stronger.

Not only did our love of VW's bring us together, but combined we now have a kick ass collection!!!
It's already planned that it will be a VW wedding all the way... how could we not?

Ha ha, you dont know how many times people have said that to me now they know we're getting married. Would give me a great excuse to talk Bob into letting me buy a beetle pedal car!
