hey guys i need some inspiration in the bullbar department can you post up some pics of yours and maybe how there mounted
mine is the buggy in the middle. the bar is made of aluminiumized steel exhaust pipe with a 1.5mm stainless skidplate. Worked a treat at stockton.
sadly, I blew the gearbox up and it's been off the road since.
heres the build pics for the bar... http://www.geocities.com/peterwood7311/buggyproject/buggyproject17.html
heres mine made out of 50mm steel pipe with 2.5mm wall thickness
heres my front bar, just a small nudge bar from a scrap pile at work! made to fit, looks pretty good.
i havnt found any info on the bars being the full width of the car, so wen it goes over the pits, i guess i'll find out then!
so i guess the loop is what everyones doin and then personalising it from there... keep em comin guys its all helping....
anyone got any pics of a bullbar on their super?? and how its mounted???
also rear bars aswell!
cheers
COME ON!!! theres gotta be more mud luvin dubbers out there who wanna show off there rigs!!
ok, ok!!!! heres the rear end, its a ba falcon roo bar stuck on the back, with a 1200 deck lid rasied n cut, should keep the buggers out!
its all painted and looking good now!
my rear ,just trying to get the look of the tail lights right either big or small
some of the bar work i have had on different Baja's
steff.................
POD, the small lights look cooler, but the larger lights are safer, i guess the larger one would be easier to replace should an "accident "
happen!
DUB CRAZY, are the rear bars on the last 2 pics "legal" i was told protruding metal was unacceptable, they are concerned with the leading edges of
my roo bar even though i got em tucked under the guards! (same with PODS rear bar work)
KEEP ON DUBBIN!
thats great steff really love the green specimen!!! is it currently registered??
Did you have any trouble getting the bars roadworthy'd??
and what engine do you have in it??
All the pics are of cars past and presant and all are/were on the road. As long as the bar work is not sticking out past the line of the guards and
has no sharp points then its legal (i am in QLD) so yes in answer to ur question vwjon its all legal.
yes the green one is my current drive, used daily . no problems with roadworthys in regards to the bar work.
Running a EA82T subaru engine .
steff.......
cheers dubcrazy, Im in WA things are abit strickter here, its taken me 7months to get a permit to modify, they arnt happy with the rear bar i made up
cos it came off the front of a ford, "people might think its a car coming towards them" thats what the inspector told me! i replied by saying the
bars got red and amber lights fitted to it, and its bolted to the rear of a vw beetle, anyone who confuses that with a car travelling in the opposite
direction doesn't deserve to be on the road!!
in the uk things are alot easier, theres a book to follow, and so long as its legal for its MOT every year you got no worries, no permits, no
compliance certs, just an easier ride!
some rear bars maybe???? what is the norm cage design for a bar covering a vw engine???
