Anyone ever torn their Hamstring?
bond - October 1st, 2008 at 10:59 AM

talk about frustratingly uncomfortable!

thought id do some "light" hamstring stretching as they were tight as after a run the previous day - end up overstretching and suffer a minor tear.

anyone else ever torn one? am dreading the drive to warwick this weekend - sitting in a chair the muscle slowly starts to cramp up haha.

Yeah had a minor tear about 2 years ago. You think it's healed then move a certain way and it comes back to remind you.

Try and keep the muscle as relaxed as possible was what i was told to do.

Did it about 15 years ago at cricket, then 7-8 years ago at baseball two years running. Now because of the scar tissue, I seem to feel it more often. Exercise? What's that?

I tore my hamstring in a water sking accident very badly that my whole leg had massive bruises right from the ankle to the groin. I spent many weeks going to a phiso having treatment done on it which was very painful, but had to be done.Took a good 6 Months to heal. I had to do light exercises and use a heat pack and then rest as much as possible. I still get some pain every now and then.As they say once you injury or break something it is never the same again. So the only possible thing to do use a heat pack, take it easy and rest as much as you can, don't over do it.:sniffle:

Er no from here as well BUT I bet you can still do more with the VW than I can after popping a shoulder out last Friday. Still purple from shoulder to elbow but has it's advantages! The Cook has to drive ME to Mudgee for the weekend so I can drink as much as I like. :dork: No driving for me so I bet it hurts her more!

Gee princess harden up - am surprised you got this far before straining one, they are very common.

How are your shoes, often as they wear out that will cause over pronation and the hamstrings are the first to go.

But like I said - harden up.
