farewell to an old mate
h - October 1st, 2008 at 05:21 PM

hey
yasterday was a hard day as my old mate 'banana' of over nine years had to go to doggie heaven as he wasnt well for a good while n went down hill over the past 3 or so weeks..
as several of you had met him, this was the greeting he gave when anyone dropped by..
a big smile and waggily stumpy tail..
take it easy now pup

Sad to hear that mate, You obviously did the right thing by him, but I know that doesn't make it easier.
He is in a better place now. All cliche's I know, but they are true.
Take it easy yourself too. :)

try not to cry about his leaving but rejoice in the fact that he was there at all to help you cope with the bad and to help you enjoy the good
been there if you can't cry for a friend what good are tears

Paul we are so sorry to hear about Nana. We know how much you loved that big sack of love, and we know how much of a beautiful gently puppy he was at heart too. We used to love being greeted by that smile he had and that stumpy tail wagging a hundred miles an hour, and he will be sadly missed.

Our thoughts are with you...

Dam H.
Sorry to hear of your loss mate.
I never got the chance to meet your pup in person, but i know all to well what its like to loose your best four legged mate.
Keep the memories of the time you got to spend with him alive, because he will always hold a special place in your heart.
