Volkswagen in Brazil has released a new locally-designed and built armoured truck, called the VW 9.150 ECE. It is powered by a 4.7-litre four-cylinder
VW turbo diesel truck motor, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Power is only 112 kW but it produces 550 Nm from 1600rpm.
No plans for export, sadly.

4.7L AND a 4 cylinder? why that would rev like a....like a....like a? oh, like a Volkswagen.
It sure isn't a Kombi motor!
Volkswagen is the largest maker of large commercial vehicles in Brazil, with a range of full-size prime movers and buses that aren't seen anywhere
else in the world. No doubt the armoured truck is a derivation of one of them.

Yes it actually based on the truck called Worker which covers 9 tonne segment in Brazil.
The engine is not VW but an MWM International with a 4120cc engine.
