What do I use, where do I get it?
It's eaten straight through kill rust!
where's the fluid coming from Pete?
theres no such thing
fix the leak
then it wont eat through the paint
panel under the master cyl is where it's peeling. It's the accumulation of 3 years of brake changes and mods. Now come on, there has to be something that at least resists it.
Por15 doesn't seem too bad with brake fluid. Looks like I spilt some when filling up the master cyc, as its all on the chassis underneath, filled it up ages before i noticed it (months). It has affected it, paints gone greyish and has formed a weird texture, but hasn't flaked off, even with a brush.
About the only precaution you can take is to hit the area with copious amounts of water (say, a bucket full at least) every time you have even the
smallest brake fluid spill. The fluid absorbs the water and the large amount of water carries the fluid away.
Never wipe a brake fluid spill with a cloth.

Matt.
