beetle pedal assembly rubber seals?
whatnow - October 21st, 2008 at 06:55 PM

hi, does anyone out there know where i can get a new one of the seals circled in the photo below?

58-67? beetle pedal assembly, seals the main assembly to the RHS of the tunnel.

i tried a couple of the larger vw shops in sydney and they all said "haven't been able to get those for years"

if i can't get new, good second hand? i'll need two eventually.

thanks
henry.

glue it back together with black silicone.

or use silicone to cover the end piece and let it dry before installing...

Old tyre inner tubes are useful for making your own rubber gaskets. Tyre places just throw them out, so stop by your local tyre shop and grab some.

Use the old one as a template and cut out new ones from the inner tube, using a sharp Stanley knife.
