Hi
I have just bought my first car which is the beetle and just found out that my driver side seat belt has broke and I have no idea where I could
purchase one. As I know the car is very old and knowing my luck I will need to somewhere that I could buy two.
If you could that would be great and I would like to drive my car more then once =]
thank you

super cheap auto arent much use to you when you have a veedub. But they have seatbelts. Probably not the exact one you want but they can order it in for you.
I got mine from Repco - http://www.repco.com.au/ There are several different kits
available so ask the staff which one suits your VW.
The kits they sell are inertia-reel units, which can easily be fitted to Beetles. You would need two - one for drivers' side and one for
passengers'. The kits include the reel unit and belt with male latch, the triangle bracket and cover that fits to the B-pillar, the floor bracket,
the female latch on a stalk, and all mounting hardware (bolts, nuts, washers, stress plates etc).
They are straight-forward to fit, but if you're not sure, take your VW to a local VW repair shop and have them fit the kits for you.
will have a look to see if i can get a part number from my seatbelts as they were brand new when i bought my 68, will let you know
We got our seatbelts from Autobarn
Klippan is the brand and drivers and passengers we're $99 each.
easy to fit to.
yeah but you need the right klippan numbers if you want to have retractables otherwide the length of the stalk, the mounting angle to which the locking mechanism works at. and then theres mounting issues with some of them, on another beetle at home there are plates that have been bolted in pthe origional seat belt mount to adapt to an aftermarket belt assembly, just depends on what you can do yourself really
Never thought of that, ours are retractable and long stalks and like I said easy.
Good luck with it !
