A while back Rose rightl gave us Novacastrians a serve for wanting to get together but not doing anything about it.
SO....
Sunday mornings Leesa and I have been driving ole Red into the Brewery carpark and doing some walks along the foreshore.
Today, after the many comments from people seeing little Red parked there alone I thought why not TRY to get some of the local Veedubbers to come in
as well.
It costs nothing and you will get the minimum required excercise, 30 minutes if you like, at least once a week.
We usually arrive between 7 and 7.15am.
At present we have one walk that covers the 30 minutes and is 4 klms in length give a take a few meters. Eventually the plan, when Leesa, is recovered
enough, is to go out to the end of the breakwall and back.
You can get a coffee later at Elizabeths or just have a lazy drive via the beaches and down along Hunter Street and head off home.
So if you are keen I look forward to Red having some friends to sit with in the carpark and watch all the walkers go by. ( he is out the front shaking
his fenders with excitement)
QWB carpark the one closest to the Brewery between 7am and 7.15am Sunday mornings. Bring comfortable shoes, water bottle and a small backpack to carry
your wallets and keys in.
Cya there if you are keen, It really is a nice way to open up a Sunday morning,
Reckon I could fit this in around my 6 ish visit to Horse shoe beach with wonder dog.
See you there....but I guess I will have to bring the kids *-(
Good, they can walk the wonder dog, my arms are long enough already.
Noah the "Wonderboy" would sure love to walk the wonder dog....maybe they can wear each other out.
see you there...
at 2pm on the way to the Beach Hotel
Bring the kids with their scooters and roller blades or whatever yours are into. They shoot off then meet when called. I just bought a boxer pup for
Leesa to help her get out more so it would be coming along as well. The more the better.
2pm is too late though and too many hills around the Beaches Hotel.
... and 7am is way too early for beer
.....7am is not too early if you are still going from the night before
we will see you in the morning as long as it is not raining
Damn, missed you but left a short note on old Red, had to bring the soob as dog, passenger and driver won't all fit in the buggy at the same time, arrived a couple of minutes late and seems went the wrong way to catch up, returned just as the KG and fawn beetle were driving away. Where is this Elizabeths you mentioned. We ended up in Hamilton, saw a blue Manx (I think) driving down Beaumont St., anyone know who that may have been.

Lets do it again next week......what a nice start to Sunday & I need the exercise
I'll be there.
I got the note thanks Donn. At first thought it was a parking nasty. Taa. The coffee shop is at the other end of the building on the QWB. Jodie and her mob stayed and we were there until about 9am I guess. I had to go and do stuff before the Fat As Butter concert. It was a nice easy morning.
Donn, don't forget the wonder dog & the vw
Wonder dog is a sure bet, he'd eat me if I took the buggy and not him, I'll try to squeeze my lady in with him although it might be a bit early for her (getting to the beach at sun up is not her favourite thing) whatever i'll be there.
7am is not that early. Life is way too short for laying in bed doing nought.
Life is way too short for laying in bed doing nought.
So what do you suggest you do instead?
Agree with the 7am bit, can't beat the beach, the dog and the sun rising through the mist.
Hi Guys
My daughter had a small accident on Thursday, she fell about 2.5 metres off some scaffold my husband had set up to paint the house. She landed flat
on her back & has to go to hospital. After many x-rays & CT scans she was sent home apart from being very sore & sorry for herself she is
ok. So, if I am not there in the morning by 7.15am please don't wait. I will see you next week.
Jodi xxx
Cripes Jody, glad to hear things have turned out sorta OK. Seems a bit of rain put the others off, I was there (on time today) all by my lonesome,
well wonder dog and me, my lady turned up in the soob just as it started to rain, gotta love driving roofless in the rain, still can't find this
Elizabeths place, Starfish cafe is on the end, asked a few people but no one seemed to know.
I'll try again next week
Don
Howdy we got to Wharf Road and it pee d down with vengence so we turned around and made our way back home. Jody sorry to hear about your girl. Let me know if she would like a 'special' trip to school. I'm sure I could arrange that for her. I think I saw your boy on Friday night when I was working. He walked past sorta grinning but all shy like. Give us a call if you like. See whoeva next week.
Don't you guys known what an umbrella is?? lol
Do you know how silly I look with the umrella blown inside out then me getting soaked when the penny finaly drops. Plus I got the injured one who does not do very good in the wet weather due to the fractures in her feet. I know the kind thing would have been to leave her at home but then she yells at the kids....lol
