Where to go for help.

Peoples:

My daughter has just purchased her pride and joy - a 73 superbug which is well looked after and has been partially reconditioned.

My question to the forum is - as the father of a VW owner and the obvious choice to fix EVERYTHING that goes wrong - where do I look for spare parts and are there any preferred supplies of maintenance and servicing in the Sydney area.

I, obviously, don't want to pay a motsa for parts and servicing but I would prefer to see this little character looked after well..

Any thoughts??

Why not bring your daughter and her VW to the Flat 4 Shootout on Sunday, and talk to the other VW owners there? It's at the Michael Wendon Centre, next to the swimmming pool on Cabramatta Ave, Miller. I'll be there on Sunday - even though it looks like it might rain.

There are a number of reputable VW workshops in Sydney; it depends on where you live. A Superbug's normal 5,000 km service (oil change, tappet and ignition adjust, grease, brakes etc) is fairly straightworward and shouldn't cause you any dramas so long as you have a good VW workshop manual. Club Veedub members can borrow them, free, from the Club's library.
