Had my first drive of my LHD yesterday. I actually find it easier than what I expected. Have no issues at all except getting in and out of carparks
where you have to grab a ticket. You have to get out of the car and walk to the ticket dispenser, doh...
always, always take a passenger - they are invaluable when it comes to toll collection booths and carpark ticket dispensers !
or if you are feeling creative - drive in backwards
i had a passengers ride in a chev a long time ago and he had a lipstick camera in the right hand mirror and a small screen in the dashy worked well for overtaking
LHD rocks, I use to love cruising in KG with my young son in the passengers seat, they always had to look twice
Would be great to drive lhd here, when i was in canada last year it took a while to get used to especially giving way, and every time i wanted to change gear i kept hitting the door.
Yeah, it's no biggie. 5 mins behind the wheel and you're right - have driven LHD most days for the last 4 years. Ha, reverse parks are a breeze!
Etoll would be a good investment. Passengers are good too though, eh jedidan?! As for overtaking, well that issue doesn't come up too often in a
1600 camper!
Question is Raf, what LHD car were you driving??
Cheers
Steve
Mind you if you're an owner of a particularly nice and shiny orange 'left-hooker' camper with a bench seat, then it should be no problems in paying
the toll lady !
A bit of vaseline and you'll slide quickly to the opposite side, eh Rohan !!!!
I got pulled over for a breath test 1 night, they made the passenger blow in the bag and off i went again, its a pitty my mate wasnt pissed, it was
hilarious
Hey Steve (rexy) that's hilarious
Steve (Matara), its a 912. I love it so far although it is running like a dog. Carbies need sync'ing. Give me single carby anytime
