Got a mate who's dad is racing Formula Juniors and he offered me a free pitpass...needless to say he didn't have to ask twice. No aircooleds racing
there...
But there was this Lynx formula junior. It's powered by a watercooled boxer from the 50s. The owner told me the brand of car, but I can't remember
it now, but it was fwd like the 2CV. I'd say it was british. Anyway, it's a direct ripoff for a 36-40hp beetle right down to the clip on rocker
covers. So much so that VWag sued them and had them close the company down. The exhaust is just like buggy canons and seems to help the performance of
the motor as much as they do on baja/manx. And let's just say
it wasn't the fastest car in the class either. Sounded kind of cool though...very volks like, or hot wrx..depending on your taste.
there were two VW in the parking lot (and a few porsches). the manx I don't know, the oval on the other hand is notoriously popular.
That oval is a beast
