sorry moonlite6t6beetle we have a habit of bumrushin kats posts!Must be coz we LOCO
I own and am working on my dream at the moment, red 69 carerra beetle. I'd like to get nice chrome tin & stuff, black velour carpeting and
that nice alternating SBS logo (dont know what its called, but thats what it looks like!) down the foot areas of the interior (would look pretty spik
and be easy to clean!)... ooh, and dual webbers...heheheh
my next best dream would have to be a paisley painted karmann cabrio. It would be nice to feel the wind in my hair!
I have half my dream now, my 1971 Carerra beetle convertible. The other half of my dream which I heartily wish would come true is the ability to drive
the irritating darling! There's either something wrong with the generator or the battery (or she simply doesn't like me and won't allow
me to driver her) and we are working on a series of elimination to figure out what.
oh to just get in and drive off....... :cry
mmm Im sorta living my dream car right now. I drive a 63 bug. I dream of putting porsche boxster 17" twists on it, aero guards, lowered on an
IRS pan (pan is in the works right now) with a turbo type 4 or WBX in the back... mmmm yummo
Dream car, split 23 window bus, camper interior dumped on randars or fuchs or even porsche twists. Roof racks front and back with sunroof and
safaris. That and/or a bay window, lowered on porsche twists, deluxe trim with a big type 4 turbo in the back. mmmm yumm!
I am slowly making my way to my dream RETRO RACER bug. I have a 74 1300 and i have disks ready to go on the front which will be followed up by an engine upgrade to a 1600. I am looking at lowering it at least 4inches at the front and 2 inches at the back. Some 8spoke wheels and a racing stripe over the drivers side and some nice dark windows to complete the outside. Inside is going to be a GTV steering wheel and a set of race seats and the addition of a tacho next to the speedo in the padded dash. Nice light grey carpet is going in after i weld up the holes that let in all that bloody water. I'm not asking much but it is my dream, well that and a dual cab kombi one day.
a slammed splitty wif stock rimms big stereo middle seat not there limo stlye and custom re-trim by me :P
but for now my current dream car is the bay window out the front dumped customer logo on trim painted up and looking pretty (im almost there):bounce
for now, my dream is completing my bus with custom paint, smoothed sides and bumpers, loweres slightly with heavily tinted glass and a 2.4l subi
engine in the back, ready to go in 2005 with my cruiser bike on the back to travel Aus for 12 months.
reality: hopefully as above, minus smooth bumpers, tinting, lowering and 2.4l subi
trying again
either way i am explaining what my dream is... my dream for THIS veedub is low, wide nice mages, dark purple with a pink pearl and chrome yellow &
clack interior, that does low 14 OR high 13 quarters....
I think I'm driving my dream car.
But my fantasy car is most porsche's
My dream car is my '69 beetle dropped on it's nuts , nice wheels, running 13's and scaring the bajesus out of V8's. There's
also a bit about honey and lesbians but I wish to abide by the forum rules so i'll keep that to my self
I'm driving my dream car but what I want to do with it is get down to 50 seconds a lap in a full street car around Oran Park, I started at 60
seconds 3 years ago & I'm down to 55 seconds, now where did I put that 86mm crank?.........
Jak
my dream car is brads manx, i only hope that mine will turn out just as good
good one kafer, your dreams are my dream lol
I'm still bothered by my first Oval inspiration and I dream about having a similar beetle.
It's a Porsche Talbot Yellow Oval ragtop on colour coded empi 5 spokes with no bumpers and a Cal-Look stance. It would have a stock interior and
an IDA engine under decklid stand-offs.
I guess that's a bit greedy because I'm already living my dream of racing a car I built from the ground up.
Can anyone remember the Tallbot Yellow Oval I'm talking about? It had a judson on a 1300 and it was in a US mag about 12 years ago.

Hi guys,
My car is 68 beetle that dad and i resprayed in metallic blue(hes done it before, no we didnt use paint rollers, not that there's anything wrong
with that), unknown engine(bought it pretty cheap without many questions apart from "does it run?" and i checked for excessive end play), I
have driven many stockies, and i think this is not stock. Will have to post pics soon.
I have two dream cars-
1.My car completed with a few suspension + small engine mods
2. Porsche 76-79 911. Classic which I love that wouldnt exist without Ferdinand(the man), i know its not dub.
Josh
where do i start?
today it is and early test beetle with no back windows done totaly ratlook just to shit the pursits :bounce
My dream car is my kombi of course but...........the ultimate dream would be to see it running well enough to make it to nambucca and back, she looks
great but mechanically at this stage.....another story. However I will be there...and I guess I could tow the kombi with the subaru if I had too..
haha
I'm with you on that one!!!!
My dream is to just keep my two Vee Dubbs on the road, in as good a nick as pos so I can drive around with a smile on my face all the time
Oh, and maybe a nice splittie ute with the rat look:thumb
Dream would be a german looker, but ain't going to happen until i finish uni, so until then something like jaks super but a liitle less out
there, eg no wing etc but with a big engine that scares 8's and blows aways 6's, some thing for the track would be nice.
MY 73 S bug, but with 17" porsche cup wheels, multi point fuel injection and a nice little toyota supercharger.....
Or maybe that motor in an oval....
or maybe a 1973 Porsche 2.7 Carrera RS...
or a 1977 porsche 911 tubro 3.0...
or maybe that new ferrari Enzo ?
I got the other half of my dream today. We replaced the battery in Belle (yes she has a name now, and yes I know it's corny :P ) and she ran just fine. Went for a loong drive in the rain (can't
have everything) so the roof stayed up. But we went OUT!!! I've found out she's not a morning person though, VERY hard to get her moving
when she's cold
congradulations shani i'm glad to hear that your living your dream...
"everyones got a dream, i am just living the dream. Everyones got a creation in their mind and the only thing that is stoping them is
themselves"
