Hi All

Just bought a 1970, 1600 Automatic!
Over the last couple of days the steering wheel has started to judder quite violently for anything from 10-45 secs then goes off!
Any ideas?? I have checked wheels & nuts & steering rods, all seem to be ok!

Bit of a mechanical biff, so all help greatly appreciated!

Where would be best place to take it too round Mango Hill!

Cheers

Hi

Welcome along, can you tell us what sort of car it is? Is it a Beetle or a Type 3?

if the car bus has been of the road for any length of time the tyers may be about to fall apart or a quick fit of some tyers for sale may need balencing what ever is the problem its dangerous so get to a tyer place and let them have a look
good luck
