Had a good thred a while back about chillies and drying them
Seems there is a few chillie heads here

Anyway - been given some ornamental chillies that says "Grown strictly for the ornamental value of its fiery tasting fruit"

If they are ornamental why would you know what the fruit tastes like??

Anyone know if i can eat these or not?

How unsuspicious can dipping the old fella in yogurt be? mind you reckon you would do it outa sight of others, unless a few of ya had the same problem at the same time and place, that would realy put it back into the "suspicouus" catagory.

I googled ornamental chillies and most say they are edible??

Apparently some chillies are unclassifiable as hot or mild, they are a bit hit or miss with the flavour, and so can't be sold as edible chillies....some weird regulation. They say to taste and see what you think yourself?? Have you tried them yet?

Definitely don't rub the eyes...I don't know how many times I've done that without thinking...OUCH
