George at Classic Vee Dub for sure

classic veedub definately.
George is fantastic with the range of stock he has and how cheap his postage costs are.
I don't know how much he has saved us, he generally gives you great discounts as well..

cheers jess

do u mean cheap or quality???

Pumba - January 1st, 2009 at 07:40 AM

I have always got the best price from classic veedub:tu:

Cheapest price usually equals less quality , poor service or both.
you get what u pay for in my experience.

What i am more concerned about would be freight prices on larger items such as racks, wheels, beams. etc.etc.
I know you get what you pay for general rule:blush:but also know some shops will take advantage because of the lack of availability. Not saying the above dealers mentioned are like that, but been on this course before, with cars and bike parts.

Freight will always be the killer
especially a roof rack as it will be by volume not weight so more expensive

Buy off all three.

They are all quite reliable.

Mick has stuff that sometimes the others dont.

George probably the cheapest.

Vintage if you 'have' to have the right bit and cost not an issue.

Why don't you pick up the phone and ring them?
that way you will know for yourself.

braken - January 1st, 2009 at 06:02 PM

I'm sure i will when everything is open again, from the holiday break. But a little feedback from people that have used these sevices for parts in the past is'nt a bad thing to know.

newghia - January 2nd, 2009 at 04:14 PM

All depends on what you want, how quick you want it & who has it in stock,
Ring around to see if they have it available or if they have to get it in,
sometimes when you ask for a part they "Can get it in for you "........ sometimes this never eventuates, even after you have showed that you are willing to spend your cash with them.

JVLRacing - January 2nd, 2009 at 06:35 PM

Some take your cash before you get anything! M8 do your homework,we all have different opinions.

yep tell me about it...I'm still waiting for some frame stickers ordered in oct last year for my bike.:grind:

You must have put a spell on George Jess...

last time I rang an order - He rang back a week later to ask what I had ordered...

He kept sending the incorrect part to My Son...

George just doesn't have 30+ years of VW experience
