This is the old Ampol service station at Bexley in Sydney, on the corner of Forest Rd and Frederick St.

And this is what it looks like today:

This is the former Ampol, 'South Bankstown'.

I'm not sure about this one - I think it may be what is now the fruit and veg store on Chapel Rd, opposite Bankstown Oval.

A pic of an old ampol servo at Toronto where I use to pump fuel and do the whole driveway service thing. Back in 1997.

Sure was. Back then we use to ask if they wanted their tyres checked, oil and water. And even use to fit wiper blades as well for them.

Have you always been famous Rose.... ???:lol:

Ampol rust proof petrol??? Can't remember that one...

AMPOL used WAYNE branded pumps...
Most others used GILBARCO Pumps...

I did see that the pumps on that golden fleece servo were Wayne pumps.. fat squaty one with lots of stainless steel...

Here's another Ampol station from the old days. This photo is labelled 'Ampol Lakemba'.

I don't know where this one was. Is this Canterbury Rd? If so, facing towards, or away from, the city?
