I got home last Sat, what an adventure I have had.
A lovely motor mechanic from Marybourough QLD actually drove up to Hervey Bay to meet me to give me two studs.
A big thanks to all the vee dub duds who helped me get 2 studs. lol.
It was very very hot up there to hot.
I put my bug back together and it got me 150klms before somthing let go big time in the engine.
About 17klms out of Kilkivan in QLD. Lucky im in the nrma premium care I did this before I left maybe I put the mocker on my self as I have driven the
bug everywhere.
While the engine is out might be a chance to make it go faster lol.
It's a pitty I didn't get to drive it home.
It must have just had enough and wanted a lift home on a carrier poor bug.
Thank god for mums they come in handy as I was travelling with her on the way home. So I had to unload all my crap into her van and car she couldn't
believe how much I could fit in my bug. She said no wonder it stopped
Thanks heaps guys hope you had a great new year I did in Hervey Bay by the pool and spa drinking my champers.
It won't be home till mid next week they took it to Brisbane awaiting the car carrier company to bring it home.
Thanks for asking Lee
I will keep you posted as to what we find out what had broke when it gets home.
Could just be a sleeve on the rocker arm, stress from drag racing it maybe.
glad it's only hurt and not dead
