Hey guys, iv come across a twin cylinder VW engine and was wondering what its out of? when it was made etc

i could just use google but this is more fun and ill find out more.

that was common 20 years ago in light planes
they werent originallly made like that tho more of a hack job

nothing real exciting about it
as i said most times its a hack job
but there are kits out there that do a better job of it

most ppl see the light like vw owners and use EJ subis now
