I have used both Classic VW and Vintage VW. I have had zero problems with both. Shipping was reasonable and service is great.

All the VW shops sell the fender beading....
I presume its the same as is used on Beetles..
I've used Mick motors for many years...
You can buy it also at Clark rubber or dunlop??
probably only black??

not sure on the Tape...
maybe an Auto Paint supplier....

fender bolts.... 8mm x 25mm or 8mm x 30mm
I used zinc plated high tensile bolts so they shouldn't rust too soon.. I also did use some stainless steel bolts but they are a bit pricey...
If there is a John Deere tractor dealer near You,
they sell the High Tensile zinc plated bolts...
they actually have JD on the head of them...

but using standard black bolts isn't good...
unless You dip them in grease before screwing them in..
and later spraying them with fish oil... to stop any rust...

cheers

The statement was sort of aimed at Ratified. He said he lives in Sydney, but he might live on the Central Coast in reality. So whilst we can say go see George and Boris, when in reality, he needs to visit Peter - he might like to visit the shop instead of buying across the internet.

So...it depends where you are.

I went shopping at Boris's Vintage Vee Dub on Sat and had a chat I love going down there and having a look as they have everything. And they are all very helpful. There like family.:kiss: I picked up all the bits to get my oval going again and also some extra bits that's one bad thing about going there. It's like going grocery shopping when you are hungry, you end up going home with a heap of extras that wheren't on the shopping list:lol::lol:
There's also a lot of nice vee dubs to look at while your there as well.
