I'm in need a of a pink slip for rego. Can anyone recommend a vw friendly garage around the tweed heads area?

Also, what are the rules in regard to surface rust? I've got a rat-look kombi, but regularly cover it in lanolin to protect it. I'm a bit concerned that I could run into some potential problems.
