By the look of the next 4 days we might nearly swap for my mate's front yard in Essex, UK Lee! Highest temp for the day was -3 deg C. Odd car covers on the Merc and Voyager!!

ztnoo - February 5th, 2009 at 09:49 AM

donn,
If you could quantify in numbers relating to the actual temp, that would be most helpful to those of us...poor stupid souls that we are... frozen in our socks and shoes elsewhere on the globe.
Give me a point of reference to ponder.
;)

Cheers,
Steve

Well, they are forecasting 43 in Melbourne on Saturday.
A bit cooler today - only 32 or something. Keep up to date here though: http://www.bom.gov.au/

Sorry, you'll have to find a conversion to Farhenheit for yourself :)

sat here in the burg will be another hottie.. :(

ztnoo - February 5th, 2009 at 10:51 PM

Gentlemen,
Well it's very balmy 1 F here this morning.
That's -17 C, by the way.

Maybe we should trade some air, and the average we arrive at would be more comfortable for all concerned.

I'm about the same latitude north, as the northern part of Tasmania is in south latitude. And of course I reside near the middle of a very large continental land mass, so we get the kind of extremes you sometimes encounter in a place like Alice Springs.

Isn't Mother Nature wonderful???

Regards,
Steve
