Does anyone know where I can get replacement bolts that attach the torque converter to the flex plate on a 1968 semi-automatic beetle? Tried Boltmasters today but they just turned their nose up. Maybe I'll have to replace them with something similar.
Smiley,
Try volksbahn, stokerssiding or VVDS. Might be worth ringing Mick Motors just in case he has spare ones. Other than that, advertisers on
TheSamba. About 15US for all four, plus postage from the US.

hastings??
Doubt it Andrew. They have to be just the right size or they rub on the back of the engine case, or the gearbox.

what happened with your ones ???
My old ones are pretty knocked around. I've only had the engine out 4 times since I've owned the car so they've had a hard life before that. I got some hex socket bolts a ground them to size today at work. Just finished putting the engine back in 10 minutes ago, all see needs is a charged battery and some oil, yay!!
