kerbed alloys.
_me_ - March 5th, 2009 at 02:58 PM

my friend has scratched a front alloy wheel of his Golf GTi. those circular type patterns like he's scraped it on on a roadside kerb...

anyone here have any experience with 'polishing' them out or where he could get it done and how much he's looking at paying $$?

thanks in advance.

polishing it out... haha. Most touch up painters can do them. Pretty sure it involves sanding them back and spraying them. I possibly should have paid more attention when i worked at mazda and saw this happening quite often. :) get some quotes, then get some quotes on a new alloy. or one from a wrecker..

is there a ball park figure it costs to fix a "graunched" wheel??

$100??

That`s probably about the right price to work on. If cheaper, then it`s a bonus. Numbers above, give them a ring. cheers
