earth quake just hit us in melbourne..

at about 8.55 an earth quake was felt here in melbs
yep the house was shaking all about me..
hope thats the end of it
not fun

4.7 on richter scale centered about 1 km south of Loch, S/E of Melb

Didnt feel a thing...but then Im from wellington originally anything under 5 is not an earthquake to us we get those once a month, some you feel some you dont.... they dont call NZ the shakey ilses for nothing.
2 types of quake are the rolley poley which you will hear coming and are pretty cool a bit like earth surfin( sorry but im actually a bit of a earthquake junky for some reason i love them) and the more scarey short sharp jolt... these are the really nasty buggers that do damage....

no sorry never felt a thing, i'm in moorabbin melb an 4.7 on the sphincter scale is high compared to 0 you get in the uk! oh yeah hi all i'm new lol
