Looks like a good replacement for the crewman:tu:

colonel mustard - March 19th, 2009 at 03:56 PM

There is no way I would ever buy a jumbuck. The only real ute is a BT-50 2.5

ang3lsholocaust - March 19th, 2009 at 04:12 PM

It's got to be better then a mighty boy too:lol:

newghia - March 19th, 2009 at 04:27 PM

Could you really see a big buff rough aussie country lad hanging out the window of one of those :P?

its very feminine in my opinion. each to their own. At least its german engineering for a change!

colonel mustard - March 19th, 2009 at 10:55 PM

I think if your going to do that, at least make it longer!!! make it like F250 length!

donn - March 20th, 2009 at 05:00 AM

Feminine? you must be french, only the frogs give gender to inanimate objects.

Do you really see big buff rough aussie country lads in most cars?? apart from there dirty, old utes??
Of course it is feminine , isn't anything to do with the new beetle classed as feminine these days?? but a different story when people (aka males) actually drive them

Honestly, why would you even want to extend it to that length, i understand to fit more stuff in etc etc, but clearly would look out of place and stupid really

As a matter of fact i do :P

VE SS commodore utes seem to be the flavour of the month, and the big 4x4 workmate vvti hiluxes. They're awesome! And CLEAN AND NEW!

With the amount of dosh traddies are makin these days, they can afford em'!

donn - March 20th, 2009 at 02:00 PM

Looks like I'd better head North then.

Take a closer look at those commodore Utes again mate.
You fill find more and more females are now at the controls of them. There is a lot more Guys getting around in the smaller mini trucks like the rodeo's, Triton's, Hilux's.
More and more trad-dies as you want to say are picking up the Mazda B50 for work purposes.
I haven't seen a VE SS ute with a bullbar, driving lights, truck mudflaps yet. They are who i see as being country Lads

So your saying the Proton Jumbuck isn't?

ian.mezz - March 20th, 2009 at 03:21 PM

fill the back up with jelly and chuck some hot Girls in .
The back tray looks like a spa tub anyway.

amazeer - March 20th, 2009 at 06:06 PM

Never driven a jumbuck, but they are just an older model lancer with a tray. I put 9 boxes of tiles in my lancer's boot... probably 100kg max.. and it was chucking wheelies and creaking the rear suspension. Hope they beef up the jumbuck suspension in a substantial way.
