Are you good with woodwork? Are you going to make your own furniture?

There are no 'plans' or 'blueprints' as such. Professional camper companies such as Trakka use custom-made plywood templates to cut out the furniture component parts. The best and easiest way ifor you is to take a tape measure and notepad, and measure up an existing camper. There will be a few of them at the Nationals in Sydney on Sunday 24th May - have a look at a few and decide how you want to do it.

For your own custom design, make templates out of stiff cardboard, and check-fit until you are happy. Then you can transfer to wood. Factory campers usually had three or four separate 'units' that fitted together to make a complete fitout.

Splurge and buy a few sheets of good 12mm marine plywood to make your cabinets. Don't use MDF or chipboard - they absorb water and are too heavy. You don't need 16mm or heavier - 12mm marine play is ideal. Finish them with waterproof oil-based Estapol - don't use water-based Estapol as sunlight will cause it to break down after a few years.
