simoninoz - April 30th, 2009 at 05:41 PM

Yeah I know the exact person. He's going on holiday tomorrow but PM me your details and I'll hook you up and see what he can do for you.

Are you one of the poor sods who had cars with that bloke on the Central Coast?

be prepared for a shock body off restos cost a lot!even if the car has no rust and just a couple of dents for those dollars i think u might get it done if u r prepared to do all the dissasembly deliver it stripped out and do all the reassembly.Ask heaps of shops and see how keen they are to work on your car.I think the sign of a good shop is there is a wide variety of cars because if they do good work it doesn't matter what they are beatin on or painting they are just doing what they do which is good work. But thats just my 2cents worth.

7K for a pan off resto???
What's your definition of "pan off resto"?
7k wont get you much resto-ing
Be carefull....If a shop says that they will resto your car for that price you might be dissapointed with the results.

USBUGNUT - May 3rd, 2009 at 05:53 PM

I can stretch the resto to 10K but that is my limit I guess. I was thinking 7K might be a too adventerious..

Basically the 79 car will be delivered as a rolling shell to the shop. I can strip the car to the shell myself, interior, roof, fuel tank, dash, wiring etc removed. The 79 car has no rust in the pans or body as I came from California and away from the coast..It needs to be preped, sprayed in white inside and out, the pan removed to repaint also. I can reasemble again myself. My other car, the 78, just needs some paint touch ups so that should be straight forward..
