Provisional results. There is the odd car in the wrong class and the mini is not capable of a 1:06, so a few minor changes needed.

Dont know what it looked like from the outside, but from inside my head it was a hectic first session. After lunch was much more pleasant. I hope everyone enjoyed it. I think it was a very well run day considering most of our officials were very inexperienced, and also a credit to the drivers many of whom have never raced before. The rate of attrition was the only thing I was disappointed with in the end.

Sorry to those who had headphones on during my tirade. Nothing personal. Still not sure how keen I am to run another next year. There were plenty of forces fighting against it. Maybe do it without CAMS.

I think Rudi was getting in some practice for the Bathurst 1000. How many laps did that poor thing do?

yep same here ray was going down yesterday but alas kempsey copped it & weather still dodgy around here which put an end to yesterdays plan.

yeah thanx again Chris........do it without cams, double the entry fee, whatever it takes....... i would do it again next week!

A big thanks to all that was behind the organising as it was the most fun you could possibly have in your road registered car and it was all legal.
After you get the hang of it you just want to get out there again I absolutely loved it, it's even better than drag racing.

Glad you all had good time - Lost our tow vehicle in Wednesday's flood & had to spend all weekend cleaning up - would have much rather been on the track

Martin our club treasurer was on a flag point and took a few videos, I'm going to load them onto the club site soon, there just out of a still camera but will look OK.

The guys with video camera looked serious, no idea who they were.

Ash1965 took a plenty of video on a nice HD camera. He is sure to post a link once it's edited.

i've just about finished putting in all the laptimes to a spreadsheet. Had enough for one night, i'm off to bed. Will finish off and double check accuracy tomorrow. These will form the basis of official results.

Last time I looked it had a subie 2ltr turbo in it. It flys.

Jak, I dont keep up with the spec of all cars on AVD. I honestly thought your car used to have a whale tail housing an intercooler. Maybe it never had one, I dont know. So now that I see it doesnt have one I ask politely if you have gone back to a VW engine. I was a little busy, I didnt get around the pits to check each car.

You're not alone by the way, there are a few others agrieved with their class. Unfortunately VW never made a 1916, so they have to go in a modified class. end of story. I understand a daily driven very mild 1916 is not going to go out and compete with Mr Zanello. Cest la vie, such is life. Also Engine swaps from other manufacturers or even the same manufacturer in differrnt configurations, are not allowed under 3J rules. Still the best day I've ever had at the track, please do it again next year, even if u have to raise the entry fee, I'll still pay it. I'm sure it will get bigger just like Warrick drags
