Blue Slip that comes to you?
NuZo - June 22nd, 2009 at 12:38 PM

Hi all, i just recently bought a motorbike, it needs a blueslip for rego, so the question is, are there any mechs in the innerwest that will coem to my house and check over the bike for a blueslip?

i dont have my bike licence (yet, hopefuily this week) and the bike isnt rego'd or insured, hence it would be awesome if the could come to me. worst case ill wait till i get my license and then go and ride it down to somewere, (pretty sure thats legal)
and get one, but would be less hassle to get it done at my house..

So!! does anyone kno of someone that can do this...

im in Sydney Innwer-West.

Thank you all!

Cheers!!

P.S. if this is in the wrong section im sorry :S u can move it if u want :D

There is Andrews Automotive under the servo at the base on the Gladesville bridge
Dunno if he is still there though

Otherwise you could give Lou a call at Lou's A1 in Regents Park (9743 9997)
He does blue slips and has a sometime mobile work shop.

Obviously it would cost more but give a call
Tell him Barry said he was a good bloke and of course he would come out

to the best of my knowledge there are no mobile blue slip stations,my RTA contract says that I will inspect vehicles only at the designated premises. This station has specific requirements and a violation of the rules is very expensive. Cheers Les.

I doubt if you will find a mechanic to come to your house. Just either get licence and ride bike to a garage to get inspection, or trailor it. i generally use the same place for my bikes and i have left some of my bikes there for a few weeks when not in a hurry. What things are then required I either do myself at the garage or get them to do it for me. I use TJ autos but they are in Minchinbury so bit far for you.

While on the subject of a Blue slip , I will need a mechanic for checking over my ghia, I will trailer to him but would prefer someone that has seen a VW ghia before and understands fitment of disc brakes , bigger engine, maybe turbo. I live on Sydney's North side. maybe I could talk to him first to let him know what I am doing. Any recommended names?

Sounds like you will need an engineer report before you get a blue slip

You are right ..I really would like to talk to an engineer first to make sure what I want to do will be approved. Any contacts?
