im fairly sure you can only do it with the 1800

why do u want the 2l clutch and flywheel? get an adaptor and flywheel etc from john sherman and run it with your beetle gearbox. 2 litre flywheel is too big for beetle box, you would have to do a 2l gearbox conversion.

no need for an adaptor you just use the 1800 with a different input bearing. on the stock 1600 box.

2L clutch takes to much clearancing

an 1800 clutch with a bearing pressed into the middle of the flywheel and it will bolt up nicely to a bug gearbox

if you are lucky enough to find a rare 200mm flywheel you have won lotto, otherwise use a 210 mm flywheel and clutch, you need to clearance the bellhousing a fair bit, shove a input shaft thingy into the flywheel(sharpbuilt has them) and if its swingaxle gearbox you need to unpick a ring from a clutch plate and put it onto the kombi clutch plate otherwise you will be speading forks all the time, it helps to have h/d forks also, once thats all done you are set, hope the gearbox lasts;)

ok guys why i asked is i have a kit to put a 1800 subaru into a beetle and it looks like it takes a 2 litre clutch it has the same diameter ring gear as a 1600 and will accept a 230 mm clutch
