karmannghia60 - July 13th, 2009 at 11:04 AM

Anyone from here scored the 21 windows or the split Beetle or the Beetle cab in NZ on the weekend?
All went for very reasonable $$s

What auction was that? If I had known about it, I would have considered bidding on the type 3 Karmann Ghia.

what price did the tri-star go for? crew cab in the type 34 pic. cheers!

That '54 cabrio is actually my old car (hence the user name). Ex Brisbane bloke living in Auckland bought it, unfortunately he died of cancer a few years later, sad story. His wife/estate must be moving on.

I think the crew cab went for around NZ$7k but can't recall exactly
It was Turners Auctions in NZ

The auction was promoted in the Club Veedub magazine and website, for a couple of months:

That '54 Cabriolet would have been great!

Does anyone know where that one went? Hopefully remained down the southern half of the world!
