Thank Goodness for that
vw54 - June 24th, 2003 at 11:19 AM

Well it was my annual celebration, last Sunday, 22nd June I love that day of the year.

Its the shortest in case you didn’t know,

which means the days are now getting longer, which i relate to more daylight and more time to work on you favourite VW project.

Lets hear it for the SUN god worshipers
:bounce

BTW Thanks heaps for the stuff you sent Dave, much appreciated. I owe you one

Haven't heard of lights in your shed Dave?

KruizinKombi - June 24th, 2003 at 02:23 PM

It's not the dark that bothers me, it's the damned COLD!!!! Brrrrrrr. :(

Unity-28 - June 24th, 2003 at 02:38 PM

Kol, tell me about it! Its been freezing here for a while, and Its only June!!!!

N!

squizy - June 24th, 2003 at 02:41 PM

I can see Dave now in his druid garb, praising the return of the summer god.

Squiz.....

Starbug - June 24th, 2003 at 03:20 PM

dont knock the solstice squizzy... some of us really do worship the summer god! :) :)

when days get longer, they get warmer and you can drive home from work at night with your windows down without fear of windburn or numb fingers!:thumb:thumb:thumb and your windows dont fog up!

squizy - June 24th, 2003 at 04:26 PM

I wasn't.....I'm with you fully - but I must admit stonehenge is beautiful this time of year. If the sun's out in the morning, I'm going to wrap up, and put that cab roof down.

Squiz......

vw54 - June 24th, 2003 at 05:14 PM

Druids yes that was the word i was looking for.

Yes Matt i have 6 double fluros in the garage,,, and a fridge full of beer., but
theres 2 bloody cars in there at the moment, and working is a bit cramped.

Now its time to get dress in my Druids rob .. n go wave bye to the sun for another day.

kombikim - June 24th, 2003 at 05:35 PM

hey Druids are a real turn on, thats where Mount Druitt came from, but they just couldn't spell out that way. Cause my back yard has one dead Kombi & dead caravan & 3 dead Humbers, I have to work on our Kombi out in the lane- so I like the dark because less people can see me:o

KruizinKombi - June 24th, 2003 at 06:59 PM

I can remember doing engine swaps and clutch changes on Austin 1800's in a 16' high carport with a gravel floor that let all the rain in when the wind blew, and I'll never give up my 30' x 25' shed, even without a heater.

At least, not until I get a bigger one!! :D

jenz58 - June 24th, 2003 at 07:41 PM

Ow bugger.

I've gone through life thinking that all days were 24 hours long and now Dave tells us that June 22 is the shortest.

Now please tell me:

which is the longest?

how many hours long is June 22?

how many hours long is the longest day?

vw54 - June 25th, 2003 at 10:15 AM

Heater in the sunny Sunshine Coast:o

Have you acclimatized to the mild weather up there?

Mittens down here are good cos you can still do things with most of your hands warm, but today my little finger tips nearly froze off!!!!:jesus

My toes haven't been warm all day:(

I'm visiting the snow on Sunday, why??????:jesus:jesus:jesus

Does this little Mexican want to spend another Winter down south???:party

How much longer was today to yesterday?

I'm sure I got 2 minutes of extra day light:rudolf
