Back in the eighties, as a teenager, I would have loved this car. Maybe even now some people would still look on it favourably but I have passed that
point these days. Would probably look better in another colour though and it just shows how we all have different ways we love our VWs.

Seen worse things
At least the wheels fill the guards to a fair extent

I always wanted the hardtop Porrera. Creative Cars built these.
As for the other pic... OK, so even I don't like it, but I think the front has been butchered and maybe if you just... No, I give in.
But, from my favourite accessories site:
http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6&produc...
The lowering kit, boost bar and cross-drilled brake lines are a must for any serious enthusiast
Lee, those weren't Torana tail light. They were made specially for the Poraga kit which was supposed to resemble slant nose 911, including the
front
Whoever drivers this car must have a strong pinky

I never understand what people hate about the Beetle shape that makes them want to change it?
Personally i can't understand the whole baja thing either, but it's each to their own i guess.
I have never liked the Poraga style body kits.
If the red gull wing car was cut short just in front of the headlights, it could become a short, possibly cute little car, especially if it has a
short Kamm type tail. It could sort of have, the stubby, cute look of the Honda CRX.
Stress the coulds and possibly.
Bajas on the other hand, I find attractive. They're like that for a definite offroad purpose and because form follows function, they appeal to me.

with how long ago that thing would have been built what do you think?
most kit cars 20 years ago started with solid bugs.
they were a dime a dozen and cheap back then
it was easier to buy a solid car to start with than replace rusty floors
Individuality, gotta love it. How boring otherwise.
For some reason I don't really mind it at all. Looks like it's finished off a lot better than the others I see. Still wouldn't own it though lol
It is still cheaper to cut up good cars than rusty cars. I will only chop, customise, or modify original untouched non rusty one owner cars.
I would have no problems in seeing a 1952 Beetle with original paint done up Baja style with a stoking hot late twin port engine fitted.
