Helo all, new to vw world, does anyone now of a good engineer in victoria. Re convert 72 beetle into convertable.

I thought (hoped) this fad had died out. There would be thousands more Beetles on the road now if this fad hadn't taken off in the '80s.

Great idea toibuy one already done, but might be hard to find one - they've all rusted away.

It will always look like a home made convertible....
no matter what you do....

Karmann made the convertibles [cabriolets] for Volkswagen ... Beetles - Golfs...

I would suggest You buy a Karmann convertible rather then spend your Money on a Fibreglass monster...
or You can buy chopped beetles on ebay very cheaply usually...
some are done very good..

there was a half done one locally last year...
a lot of work to be done on it...
but full of water & rusted.... naturally...

never been finished... square headlamps...
someone bought it..!!!!
