karmannghia60 - July 23rd, 2009 at 12:59 AM

Although I've been with Shannons for more than 10 years, they are giving me the shits right now. Who else does classic car insurance and what are they like?
Thanks for sharing

Hi,
I've been with NRMA classic car insurance since 2006 and i was going to go with shannons this year, but after talking to each... I went with the NRMA classic & veteran car Ins
again...
they are different to the normal NRMA car insurance...

You get your car back if its written off too..

cheers

I like you was with Shannons for 15 years + but they gave me shits also. Would not haggle over prices when cars were switched to vintage rego and just being difficult. Also my bike they wanted $650+ that was more than any other insurance company.
Went to
NRMA classic & vintage could not be more helpful with cars & bike. Cars are both covered for lees $$ than Shannons & come with free breakdown or damage transport home & cover for me to get home also etc, also salvage rights & free windscreen claim.
Bike policy is lees than half what Shannons wanted.
I guess that when Shannons was bought out by a multi national company its all about the bottom line because I see now thet cover daily drives and are also doing green slips. Just chasing the $$$ to keep shareholders happy.
