Can anyone help me?

Im trying to find out the capacity of the fuel tank on a 1959 Type 1 beetle.

Where is the lever for the reserve fuel tank?

It may stop me running out of fuel.

About 40 litres (8.8 imp gallons). If tap lever is still there, it should be in the middle of the firewall under the dash.

yep as per above make sure you fit the lever in the correct position to allow a reserve of fuel
