Saw a girl getting bookied in an old laser yesterday by the DOT sniffer up the exhaust crew. Was glad I was going the other way. She looked waaaay unhappy, as i would have too. I didnt think he would let me set my mixtures with his sniffer....

What is the go with this. What level of EPA standard does our vws have to comply? I think my '75 bus has to comply with the standard of the day, and have all 'standard' pollution gear (petrol cap sealed and vented via aircleaner)

How do you go with twin '45s or Kadrons

Can they book you for a bit of body rust?

Wondering what our rights are

iam not sure what the exact standards are. But i did have a old early 80's bomby falcon for a while. got pulled over heaps by those guys, normally they only worried about emissions. But it always had fewer emissions than a new car. i think if ur car is in good tune u should be ok. (i should know this did semester at uni on it:()

basicaly what the exhaust fumes contain.

if there is too much crap in the escaping gases they can charge u with pollution...

what they are actually asking though is what do our cars come under as we dont use Catolitic (sp?) converters. they turn bad gasses into safe gasses.

anyone?
i know from a certain age we are exempt...but what yr i cant member.

With my blue slip I am required to comply with:

96 dBa noise level

4.5% carbon monoxide

(air-cooled 1916 in an Oval)

A lot of street machine builders are turning to straight LPG vehicle to get past the emission probs. I went straight LPG on the EH for that amongst other reasons.
