Any one any good at breaking into ford falcons ;-)

It should open by key even if it does not have a battery. Hmm sounds like your into a tight spot. What model falcon is it?

Ah ive got one in the yard.

Just tried it with the battery disconnected and seems to open fine. So it could quite possibly be that the door is jammed. Opening the boot wont help too much either as you still need to release the back seats to come forward.

My EL doesnt have a passenger side door lock meaning that you can only get into the car through the drivers side if all locked up.

Maybe a computer problem?

Only thing you can do is keep trying to turn the key in the drivers lock, may just open.... eventually ;)

Hi

Wedge the door open a little, put a long wire through and pull on the inner handle.

we had the keys locked in my daughters bf`s ford, luckily it was at my work and we got a strip of metal by the door and hit the boot release button ,then once in the boot unscrewed the speaker and then was able to put the back seat down and then open the doors:smilegrin: ,if it was my ford it would be tough luck doing it that way as the gas tank would be hard to get by:rolleyes:

Might sound silly but I heard you could jump on the roof of those fords to unlock them. Not that it would have helped you today of course
Apparently they have a rollover sensor that unlocks the doors and cuts power to the fuel pump in the event of a major accident.
Anyhow I'm glad you got in another way!

Breaking into pre smart lock falcons was apparently possible by breaking off the aerial and using it to unlock the rear door via the gap in the outer handle...then...pop the hood and remove the dipstick and use it to jiggle the ignition switch.
Some seedy dude I knew once told me about it  but I have no idea if it works or not.

Usually a brick or crowbar through the windo works a treat. Many a Ford has been aquired that way at train stations for years now..........

same deal with VN commodores
theres a lever on the side of the heatercore you can break off thats perfect for jimmying the ignition

Hope the central locking motors don't burn out!! If they are the same as the EF, they are driven by $2.00 electric motors. For whatever reason I had the 4 units burn out at the same time. Replacement units about 7 years back was about $80 each plus fitting. Also pop rivited in. Could never get the passenger front working again. Bloody glad the car wore out at 420,000km so I could rid me of the thing.
