First I should say that I know FA about the mechanics and model variations of V Dubs, but ocasionaly I think I can help in some way when a fellow V Dubber needs advice or a hand or a part, it would be so much easier to help if the other persons location is known, what's the big secret that others don't want to reveal their location? just the city is good enough, it's not as if we need to reveal our full address !. Yeah, I know this has been covered before but I don't know why it isn't a mandatory field to fill in when you register.
Just my two bobs worth. :spin:

Judge,

I'm right behind you on this one. Would definitely make things a lot easier if someone is selling things or is asking for help.

whole-heartedly agree! I'm only new to the forum and to VW's for that matter and it would be good to know who is nearby....if only for interests sake.

After typing all this, I hope I have actually put my location up...if its not it will be immediately after posting this

I agree Don it also drives Me crazy when people have something they either need or need help etc.. but don't even put what state they are in.... I'm located at 10 boronia street, SCONE 2337 Upper Hunter Valley of NSW I have the same problem with some people on ebay... You ask where they are located and they won't give an actual location... near some suburb or Sydney.... :grind::grind::grind::grind: anyone can find My details by looking up VK2LEE or 68autobug on the internet... or My name...
It should be mandatory - compulsory to have Your location... and postcode..
I don't really want to know your age or color of your house etc...

LEE

PS: No this is not where I live.... lol..
and My house is white...

Exactly right. It should be a mandatory field in your logon, displayed under your avatar photo, name etc.
