Motor Vehicle Census
desh - September 8th, 2009 at 07:25 PM

Out of interest I have been reading some stats on motor vehicle's registered in Australia related to VW's, these are cars currently registered at time of the census,

* Remember that these include all VW's, Type 1's, 2's, 3's etc..

* Obviously does not include cars that are no longer registered,

* How accurate do others feel these are?

That is really interesting.

Noticed that SA is way way over represented compared to states with higher populations.

I reckon this is all about our "easy" reg system not requiring RWC with sale.

Thoughts?

I didn't think we had that many pre 1950s VWs in Australia?

Anything pre the late 1953 batch of Oval cars we got here, i.e. all splits would be private imports of some sort.
