I just picked up the U.S mag VW TRENDS (june 2003).I was surprised to see an article on a splitty that has a big arse electric motor (90h.p.) in the back and a heap of batteries under the back seat. The range is enough for most city driving and it'll over 110kph. I think it would be cool to have some sought of hybrid system though,or a bloody long extension cord to get to valla!:jesus
